Engineer Ilias Zacharakis Talks About «Advanced Technologies for Smart and Sustainable Building» in Construction Magazine

In the January issue of Construction Magazine, Ilias Zacharakis, Mechanical Engineer at GDM Assets, discusses the advanced technologies for data-driven buildings implemented by GDM. He notes:

“…the use of sensors at critical points of buildings, as applied at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens (401 GSNA), enables dynamic adaptation to the building’s needs, either by increasing or decreasing energy consumption for heating and cooling.”

GDM Assets is transforming projects into data-driven buildings by utilizing innovations in the Internet of Things (IoT). The installation of smart Building Management Systems (BMS) devices records and analyzes energy consumption, predicts failures in heating and cooling systems, and helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
