GDM Assets Completes and Delivers the New Ronald McDonald House at “Elena Venizelou” Hospital
The new Ronald McDonald House at “Elena Venizelou” General Hospital has officially opened. It is now in operation, providing a dedicated space of accommodation and support for families of hospitalised newborns.
The second House we delivered for the global charitable organisation involves specific construction requirements, including electromechanical installations, plumbing infrastructure, and active fire protection systems, as well as the refurbishment and fit-out of the renovated spaces.
With the completion of the second Ronald McDonald House in Greece, GDM Assets further strengthens its partnership with Ronald McDonald House Greece, continuing to contribute to projects with a meaningful social impact.
The new House provides a safe and functional accommodation space for families of newborns undergoing hospitalisation, enabling parents to remain close to their children during an especially challenging period. The facility includes four fully equipped rooms, along with shared spaces designed to accommodate families from outside the Attica region.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday, 16 September, in the presence of representatives of the Greek State, the administrations of “Elena Venizelou” and “Agia Sofia” hospitals, representatives of Ronald McDonald House Greece, as well as the people and organisations who contributed to the project. During the event, attendees toured the new House and had the opportunity to experience first-hand the new facility, created to support families of newborns throughout their children’s hospitalisation.
“The completion of the second Ronald McDonald House represents much more to us than the delivery of another project. It is the continuation of a partnership that allows us to put our expertise and construction experience towards a cause with a direct social impact. Knowing that a space we have built can allow a family to remain close to their child during a difficult time makes us particularly proud of our contribution to this important initiative,” said George Panagopoulos, CEO of GDM Assets.
