Renovation and upgrade of the Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Athens “Korgialeneio – Benakeio Hellenic Red Cross”. As part of a nationwide initiative to modernize hospital infrastructure, extensive renovation, reconfiguration, and functional upgrades have been undertaken in the Emergency Department, which spans a total area of 1,700 square meters.
Upgrading
A critical hospital infrastructure
The Emergency Department (ED) is one of the most demanding and essential areas of a hospital. The renovation at the General Hospital of Athens aimed to create a modern, functional, and safe environment, capable of meeting the growing demands for emergency care. The renovated spaces include modern triage, examination, and resuscitation facilities, as well as the implementation of a new electronic case prioritization system. Through these interventions, the project contributes to improving patient flow, enhancing patient service, and supporting the work of medical and nursing staff.
Creating
modern emergency care spaces
The renovation addressed critical aspects of functionality and spatial organization, while also updating existing infrastructure. By reconfiguring the spaces and modernizing the facilities, the Emergency Department has developed a more organized and efficient operational structure that meets the contemporary needs of a public hospital.
