Construction of the new Ideales Showroom on Kifisias Avenue. A commercial building dating back to the 1970s was comprehensively redeveloped to accommodate the Ideales Group’s new showroom and headquarters, creating a contemporary environment that combines functionality, modern architectural design, and high technical standards.
Redeveloping
An existing building
The project included the complete reconfiguration of the interior spaces and the structural strengthening of the existing building with steel reinforcements, in accordance with the structural design. The interior was redesigned to accommodate the showroom, office spaces, meeting rooms and ancillary areas, while the first floor was transformed into modern workspaces featuring high-performance acoustic glass partitions.
At the same time, new MEP systems, state-of-the-art air conditioning units with BMS automation, active and passive fire protection systems, as well as new aluminium frames with energy-efficient glazing were installed. The building envelope was further upgraded through the installation of an external thermal insulation system and a new façade finished with natural stone cladding and aluminium louvers.
Incorporating
Contemporary Architectural Elements
The design of the outdoor areas is particularly emphasized, serving as a natural extension of the showroom while enhancing the building’s architectural character. The surrounding area features a swimming pool with cascading water features, an impressive 8-metre-high waterfall at the entrance, and an aluminium pergola with adjustable louvers. The first floor also accommodates an outdoor exhibition area. A distinctive feature of the project is the rooftop swimming pool, constructed from galvanized steel and glass. This pool remains visible from the building’s façade and serves as a defining architectural element of its new identity.
