Investments totaling €5.9 million are announced for the upgrade of Emergency Departments (ED) in four hospitals in the Attica region
At the signing ceremony of the contract for the ED upgrade in four Athens hospitals (Hippokrateio, Korgialeneio-Benakeio, Children’s – P. & A. Kyriakou, and Children’s – Agia Sophia), the Authorized Advisor of #HRADF, Panagiotis Stampoulidis, and the project team of the Strategic Importance Contracts Unit (#PPF) of the Fund were present.
The contract for projects amounting to €5.9 million in the four hospitals was signed between the Director of the 1st Health Region, Panagiotis Stathis, and the contracting company GDM Assets, with representatives from the hospital administrations also in attendance. The projects matured and tendered by #HRADF, a member of the Growthfund (Overfund) – The National Fund of Greece, represent another significant step towards the restructuring of the National Health System. They will contribute to the modernization of ED functionality and the qualitative enhancement of services for citizens. The works in the hospitals are expected to be completed within 18 months.
The Authorized Advisor of the Fund informed attendees that #HRADF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has prepared a legislative framework to reinforce technical services of Health structures during the implementation and handover phase of projects financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund. Moreover, he provided an extensive update on the ongoing tenders and those being prepared by #PPF for the upgrading of Public Health infrastructure in Attica.
